Navigating Change: A Letter From Our Founder

Since evolving Karen Harvey Consulting six years ago, and with the launch of Fashion Tech Forum and INDX, we created a unique suite of companies that reflects the needs of brands across generations and industries. Today, alongside our new business partners from Labora Group, we‘ve officially defined this ecosystem of services, brands and platforms as The Karen Harvey Companies. KHC continues to provide executive search, advisory services and workshops, FTF brings thought leadership and business partnerships to life, and INDX connects top emerging creatives with fashion and lifestyle brands, globally.

FTF 2020’s mission pre-COVID-19 was to further our key pillar of Celebrating Responsible Business by bringing together the most innovative and powerful leaders, from lifestyle brands to entertainment and social action, to exchange ideas and share inspiring talks and performances. While the conference will take place at a later date, we will still move forward with our commitment to doing “good” work by launching two new initiatives: Coaching Sessions, through KHC, and our new FTF podcast.

The podcast will present conversations with luminaries who are making a significant difference for women, sustainable practices and communities in need. We will also feature world-class talent, global leaders and brand visionaries sharing their insights and experiences on topics like, “How I Got Here,” “How I See the Future”, and also in this critical time, we’ll look at The Space Between everything: important career moves, tough decision making, and how this space between our thoughts can serve all of us going forward.

None of this would have been possible without the brand leaders who have trusted me over many years. To express my gratitude, as I know that many of you have had to make some tough decisions right now, I've developed our Coaching Sessions program through KHC. These 15-20 minute sessions are offered at no charge, and are designed specifically for our clients to offer to senior teams in transition. Please explore our new KHC website for more information.

Finally, I've found it helpful to remember that while we’re often surprised when sweeping changes seem to come out of nowhere, the one constant in life is change. While this moment in time is not an easy one, we are also reminded that great brands cannot remain stagnant, they must evolve. In my experience, the great leaders and innovators have always found a way to take their businesses to the next level in times of crisis, and this time will be no exception.
